Very Rare Guage Set

Hi All,
This is a guage and surround that is a very rare aftermarket accessory. I have heard of another one but never seen another. They are Australian Only and are very hard to come by. The surround is cast and the guage contains fuel, amps and oil. It is in good condition and would just need a little tidy up. I was going to run this on my car but as i have turbo'd my car I have changed plans. Perfect for any resto. Buyer pays for postage.

I have a similar one fitted to my Oval except it has 2 extra gauges and the big gauge is a clock the other are Fuel and Oil temp

These were made in Aussie in the late 50s to add extra gauges to yr Oval The plate is cast brass from memory pretty solid

These were to copy the German Motometer Gauge panel which was very expensive

Oh i paid all of $10 for it at a swap meet a few years ago....

no, it is smiths & the actual individual guages in it were on many english cars, & therefore may be 12 volt, although that would only affect the fuel guage Smiths Aust mixed & matched many components to make specialised after market guages for many different cars in the mid to late fifties., early sixties & may well have made both the guage & panel specifically for Ovals

Please, I need drivers side window regulator (winder mechanism) for my '54 http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/Kombikim/avatar1.jpg

you're right if you look closely, which I diddn't you can see the smiths name. I still claim that I have seen those guages in a car form the 50s or 60s, not the alloy surround . I think Hillman Minx is close. Just for the sake of trivia, not any other reaon.
