why does optus treat existing customers like garbage?
Wanted a quote re moving an internet cable from one part of the house to the other, took 10mins before I got a human being on the phone. Now here I am
waiting another 10mins just to talk to a real person and book in a technician as no one else is legally allowed to move the cable except for optus. I
hope one of their robots is monitoring this site...
NOT FREAKIN HAPPY OPTUS!!! :cussing
Don't think I'm impatient, 2mins, 5mins I could hack, but 10 minutes before a real human being even answers the phone!?!

Had same trubs regarding my mobile at one stage with optus... and after waiting about 10 to 15 mins of my own time... i reached a hard to understand
indian...
Maybe if they spent more money on the customer service then the promos with the salesmen... they might be a little bit betta.
Shame.

Wot r u complaining about???!!! I switched to Optus and was happy to wait 10 minutes....It was a half hour wait with Telstra. Still sucks though. You
will notice at the start of the phone call the option exists for "new customers".ALWAYS select this to get through to a person. They answer new
customer stuff a lot faster.Good luck!!!:beer

Yes,
Make the switch back to Telstra and they will be Ringing YOU.....
I went back and forth a few times....
and the other one was always ringing Me...
so I ended up staying with Telstra as they kept matching OPTUS prices...
but You are probably better swapping. because then You become a NEW subscriber....
and get all the attention.... for about a day..:P:P:P:P:P
but then You will be at the top of the list from the Opposition.... :thumb:thumb:thumb
now they are all using Contracts... its a bit harder to swap about....
Telstra and Optus and Austar to name a few , do get other companies/ or people to sell etc mobile phones..
and you can't ask them anything else as they don't know
and if you don't want a new mobile phone...
they hang up....

I feel your pain Pete. Been there done that.
In saying that, Optarse cable is the best around so if I were you I wouldn't be chucking a wobbly too soon. For the years that I had it I was more
than happy and NEVER had any problems. In saying that I never had to ring anyone, until it was time to move. With the horror stories I hear aboout
other ISP's I think having to wait 10/15 minutes for potentially a one of occasion isn't too bad.

Always ring sales regardless of what you want. They have the most staff and when they transfer you, you are nearly always at the top of the queue.
As for the cable. Move it yourself or get a splitter and an amplifier from tandy/dse etc and just add an extra outlet.
