Time to replace the axles and upgrade the stubs.
Found some NOS bus stubs which are 35mm compared with bug at 30mm.

The 2015 Jamboree was awesome! 8 Volksies entered, and 5 in the All Motor Class.
I had no opportunity to test before hand, due to work and weather,
but the car went well,
although still trying to solve some supply issues in the fuel tank,
which resulted in an inconsistent car.

I Did, get a personal best though, on Saturday Arvo, before the rain came.

10.664 @ 126.09, with a 6.770 @ 100.26mph on the 1/8 mile.

1.435 sixty.

Car weighed 1843lbs after that run. (837kg)

I thought I had been leaving the line at 7500, but turns out the wire fell off the switch
8400 launches were a bit brutal.

Hi Dave
Have you run those new axles
I would be keen to hear your opinion on the lack of sholders.
My aftermarket axles slide through the CVs and grind the stubs and the seals on the outputs. Yuk!
I am thinking of going back to stock axles and machined T2 inner CV races.

The lack of shoulders is a good design as far as 'point of failure',
but means you need to get the axle length correct.

If they hit the seals, they are too long.

Good thing with all that spline, you can shorten them and re-do the circlip groove.

Been a bit slow updating progress.
Warwick was excellent as usual,
and despite major carnage on the Sunday, (see below) I had some great results on Saturday.

After Jambo, but before Warwick,
I decided to fast track a change to the fuel system,
in an effort to solve a tank/supply issue that I had.

I added some more tank volume to act as a sump within the fuel tank,
and changed to a smaller pump and nozzles.

My old pump was tired, and drew 3 times the fuel (at high rpm) from the tank, than was needed at the engine,
and so put a lot of demand on the line, and tank volume at high rpm.

I also reduced the nozzle size, and increased the fuel pressure in an effort to improve lower rpm atomisation.

I flowed the OLD fuel system, as it had been run, and gathered fuel volume data at 5000 and 8000rpm.

I then chose the smaller nozzles, and pills and adjusted pressures to get the same volumes, so now the system pressure is over 100psi,
instead of around 60 with the old setup.

I had no time to test, or dyno before hand,
and with my 1/8 mile gearing installed (1.33 3rd gear and 4.86 diff:100mph at 8400rpm),
it was time for Warwick!

Must have gotten the fuel system pretty close
because off the trailer it went 6.88 @ 100.13mph hard on the rev limiter,
on what was a pretty untidy pass. (1.497 sixty)

I had never run better than 99.70mph at Warwick, even when the car was 50lbs lighter!

Each pass from then on,
I leaned off the engine and snuck up the rev limiter to run the following:

6.762 @ 100.53 (1.455)
6.761 @ 101.53 (1.471 not enough launch rpm)
6.723 @ 101.98 (1.446 - 8000 launch)

The last run is, by far, a PB at any track altitude, so showed a lot of promise.

Three out of the 4 runs on Sunday had ET's and MPH better than the 10.66 from Jambo.

Unfortunately on Sunday things started to get sad.
My guess is that the sump capacity could not stay with the 8600rpm that I was using,
(way too much for a 91.5mm stroke anyhow!),
and after a slow first round 7.01 at 96.56mph,
the engine let go in the second round at the finish line.

Here is the rpm when it let go:

Hind sight is wonderful.
But the end result was that the sump capacity is just not enough for my application,
so its time to go for a dry sump system.

Enough rambling, here are the carnage photos:
