Do you mean the seal between the lens and the bulb housing or the one between the housing and the guard?
If it is the first option then I am also interested.

The parking lights on type 3s were those very small side lamps on the side of the front guards..
the lenses were red and clear...
so the light was clear at the front and red at the back...
they were made for some european countries that require parked cars to have a parking light at night...
they worked [from memory] by the blinker switch... [?]
Some of the Australian made early type 3s had a TS Badge in place of the light...

Yes,
I had a 1971 type 3 variant [wagon] in the 70s, and it had them, also had chromed strips..
but I've seen many type 3s with no side lights and some have chrome strips and some don't...
I don't know how come some cars had them, when they were assembled here in Australia...
the early Imported type 3s had them...
then when production started in Australia , the gap in the chrome strip was replaced with TS badge...
the type 3s were called TL elsewhere...
Its interesting that some Aussie assembled type 3s had these lights... the lights were made by Hella in Germany..
the gasket for the light 341 949 121 is available from Wolfsburg Automotive in Victoria...
If that is the correct number?? this number is the part number to suit a type 3 Karmann Ghia...
I'm presuming they are the same... [guessing]

Thanks everyone for replying.
It is for a 1970 Fastback. The light is on the side of the car and the seal is between the lens and the housing.
It looks like none of the shops or online places have it.

I have just picked up a 72 square back which has side lights. They don't work at the moment and I was trying to figure out what they do ie are they
indicators or park lights. They are totally clear. The wiring seems to go into the steering column. How do you turn them on?

You take the keys out of the ignition and move the blinker lever to the side you want to turn the parking light on.

Ahh OK thanks. The manuals I have show two different ways of wiring the lights. One of them (Bentley), shows the lights wired into the headlight
switch. They come on with the low beams. The other manual shows them wired into the indicator switch. I guess they were used for different purposes
at different times or in different countries.
