Yeah I thought he should look closer just in case first. Will probably have to make some sort of compromise as I'm guessing most of the good ones will be in the UK by now.

My personal opinion Rux is that there are more pros than cons in getting one from os. You have choice of years and bigger pool to choose from.

Anyone that wants a 23 nowdays has $$$ to spend and even if you consider a trip/holiday to go check a few out and the freight back it will still be worth it.

Another + is you can load the thing up with as much spares as you can carry...

Wayne:)

Thanks Wayne, but the RHD thing is a bit of a stumbling block. Have got my eye out overseas but just trying to find out what's here.

Yeah I know Doc but do you fancy convincing one of the bastards to sell?

You'd have better luck pulling your own teeth out.
I'd mortgage the house in 2 seconds to own one. For anything else no, but for a samba most definately.

Thanks mate but please lay off on the lessons. I don't need people's opinions on how hard it's going to be, that isn't any help. Just want to know what's here. I know to look at the other big forums (I'm a nerd to rival most others and spend way too much time online) and ebay etc, I'm just figuring out what's there. People are saying there's nothing out there but you clearly don't know I'm afraid becuase I already have some leads through u2us.

Thank you if you're trying to help, but please keep the posts to actual info rather than speculation please.

Yeah that's ok, the buyer is prepared to pay the right money for it. I can't believe he's even thinking of selling it! Unless he's playing 'Tease the Dub Guys with my Fancy VWs' again.

Don't want to hijack but can you tell me. What is the difference between a samba and a 23 window? Is it the camper version or something?

Lesson 203.1 (Buying and enjoying a VW 23 Window Deluxe Microbus)

well we have a (no bs) buyer, we have a samba and we have knowledge of this samba... so it sounds you need a plan...

1. demon, let us know what is wrong with the bus.
2. take 10K plus the fix up price from the 65K (the 10K because he's dreaming, happens a lot with porsche people).
3. take the amount figured form part 2, cash will do fine but I'm sure a bank cheque or platinum Visa/MC will also work, to the dealer.
4. Buy a roof rack.
5. Go surfing!
