New from New Zealand
Hi all, just moved over from the cold land! My wonderful wife and I own a 56 oval beetle, low and oldschool, repowered (still aircooled) and a 66
splitscreen kombi panelvan, project at the moment, but getting some serious $$$ spent on it in NZ before I ship it over mid next year. The beetle will
be here early in the new year, can't wait! Hopefully the Queensland Transport fun police won't give me too much grief getting them legal on the road
here with ride height and eng capacity/power....
When the bus gets here I hope to have a built 2l type 4 eng ready to bolt in, I was planning on airbag susp as its fully legal in NZ but have found
out that new improved engineered air susp apparently isn't as safe as 40+ year old standard dub suspension in the eyes of QLD Transport... Any
loopholes out there that you locals know of to get around this?
Anyways, hi again and we're really looking forward to getting into the scene here and meeting lots of fellow dub nuts at shows and cruises etc and
enjoying the sun!
how low can a dub go...
