Going To AMERICA. where do i go 4 vw bits???

hi there,
im off to america in a few months i would like to pickup all rubbers for my vw type3 (65notch) and some interior stuff, chrome etc... do you know of any good 'wrekers', parts dealer, vw shop i should visit that will be able to help?

i was going to buy from thesamba or ebay but they want an arm for the items and a leg for shipping and i only have 2 of each so im not doing that!!

im guessing the most likely place for decent shops will b in calafornia.

thanks for any help, and time/$$ saving info.

I always use Wolfsburg West, as Rich has alway been super nice, and looked after me even when sending to me in OZ, though shipping is a killer! They are a little further out though in Corona. Long Beach is closer to LA. Pacific Customs is right near it too if you want any parts from their huge hot vw ads etc...
WCM and wolfsburg west much the same with rubbers, I just prefer WW and they also have lost more unique items they have had reproduced real well over the years. Never been looking for type 3 though, so Empikg is probably right!!
Swap meets - Pomona. If you are going just for a short time, sus out when Pomona is on and go then. Most of the shows have swap meets also.
California is the place to go for VW bits, you NEED a car, a map, time for traffic jams eveyehere you go.... enjoy!!

If you can go to a Pomona Swap Meet. Google it. It's the biggest swap meet in the world and it's on monthly. Arrive early and expect to take all day to see it once.
