WTB: CB drop spindles for early bug

Heya peoples

Am after a pair of CB drop spindles for a link pin beetle.

Forgot to say, for a drum setup

Used, or new - and if new who would you recommend for a good price?

Cheers
Dan

Shipping won't be much as he uses the US postal service much cheaper than UPS which charge heaps.

I can tell you Steve Serrano is cheap and they always arrive. Well have for me anyway. I think last pair I got shipping was around the $80 mark plus $165 for the spindles. May have gone up slighlty since then though.

I get him to ship via USPS Sea mail which he is more than happy to do. Only problem being it takes about three months to get here. But it is the cheapest. Ask him for shipping options and he will give them to you.

I would like to get a set of what you are after too. Are you in Sydney. Maybe we could order together. I am happy to do the ordering etc. If you are interstate probably best to order yourself as only one lot of shipping to pay.

I could almost guaarantee you will not get them cheaper from any shop in Australia. I understand they have margins but I think they would be hard press to beat his price. The world is a small place now with the internet. And as a bonus you are adding to the import calculation that stuffs up the economy. LOL

ha. yeh steve is the cheapest in the US too! If you payed $80 for sea, pay the little extra and send air. I just sent a box home from the east coast, and that was $67us inc insurance for $1000US. The box weighed as much as a pair of spindles easy, and took 7 days
I shipped from LA years ago, and it took over 4 months to get to me, and I sent it so I know when it was sent! I thought it was gone, and very hard to trace when shipping ground.

I agree shops have overheads, but unfortunately with the internet and simple international ordering these days they can not charge what they used to for parts. I have bought my bits in for years from the US direct. George at Classic, or Mick Motors offer the most reasonable price you will get in OZ.

Yes I would love to support the local shops etc. However, I had a workshop, and its very hard to on-sell parts to customers for at least twice what they can now buy for online.
