1500S distributor


Does anyone have the below distributor which is a 1 year only 1964 model for the German made 1500S? Required for a Sth Australian vehicle.

Is this a cast iron or aluminium body?
Medium diameter cap?

Yes. This is the cast iron body one with vacuum similar to the 36 HP one. They are rather rare as there weren't too many of these vehicles here and near to none have survived. The link below has a bit of an explanation on it.

i have one that fits the vw numbers but not the bosch
0231-137-031--------- bosch
315-905-205-b---------- vw
strange world this is shorter than a 009 with a big vacume head
these were on the bugs 1960 -1966
bus 1960 -1964
