learn to speak volks for a laugh
ok just a few instances of the language spoken by vw owners
1. baja... dont ever pronounce this bager, barger or simular make sure its baha less you be frowned upon with great intensity.
even though the yanks cant be bothered to learn any aussie words correctly and really dont seem to like south americans anyway
2. never call an independent rear suspension system that only has one joint per axle and moves through an ark" irs"
even though the rear suspension moves independently these shall be deemed "swingaxle"
the term irs is reserved for rear suspensions that are double jointed and therefore have lateral movement
3. never refer to any motor that uses air to cool the water in it "air cooled" these engines are to be called "water cooled"
motors that use air to cool the oil in them are to be called "air cooled" makes you wonder what ever happened to oil cooled
i rekon these terms date back to the vw's close relationship with people who had good lsd and heaps of ganja in doses high enough to justify
themselves to any other tripper
anyone else have any???? |

how about "dropped spindles" these spindles actually sit up further from the ground to give that lowered look
so the spindles are actually raised on the cast:duh |

I hate it when people try to germanise their accent to say Volkswagen especially on the VW Australia ads. They say "Volks Vagen".
Germans swap the sound of their V and their W, so it should come out as "WolksVagen"
Matt.
