rim options


what rim options is there for a 4 stud beetle? are there many options? i like brms but i wanna see what else is out there first. does anyone have a large list of them? and can rims from different cars fit or is it a very individual stud pattern?

PCD is the first part you have to consider (pitch circle diameter) - four lug old vws are 4x130.
Next you have to consider offset - modern alloys have more negative offset (more of the rim on the inside of the bolt mounting surface) whereas older cars tend to have more positive offset (so the inside edge of the rim doesn't hit the suspension components).

There are quite a few options for you like 4 stud BRMs, Sprint stars, Rivieras, Empi 8 spokes...etc etc.
I can't think of any sites off hand that will give you a comprehensive list but I'm sure someone can help in that department.

cheers. brms are the only ones i have seen so far that i like alot but im looking for something a little bit wider maybe 6 inch. there were some on the cip1 website that were nice but expensive and over in the US. what price would a set or brms set me back here in QLD, is there anyone that sells them off the shelf?

The problem with VW 4 by 130s is that there is only a small range available. Which is a shame as there are so many very nice wheels on modern shopping jeeps, but they don't fit. Others worth considering are Bathhurst Globes and Hot Wires.
