Offroad VW and Buggy Magazine

Ok, just to let you all know what is going on. The Manx Dune Buggy Club Australia is currently producing an Offroad VW and Buggy Magazine. It will be a full colour print and should feature over 15 feature vehicles. They will all be either offroad VW or Street Buggies. Release date will be NLT 31 Nov 03.
They will be availible on subscription or can be purchassed from the Club at most VW shows after that.
Cost will be confirmed before the end of teh month but is looking at around AUD$25 including postage in Australia.
Anyway we have already pre sold about 35 to the USA so are we and truly committed to doing it now.
If anyone would like to see there Offroad VW or street buggy in it please contact us at publications@manxclub.org
There will also be a heap of offroad tech articles and other stuff..... and you will all be pleased to know that Jen will be correcting my spelling and grammar ....:D

No probs

Will do, I am waiting on quotes from several publishers at the moment based on a 72 page plus cover full colour magazine. Once we have that we will be working out the sponsorship and purchase price. I have about 100 orders so far and 5 sponsors so it is looking pretty positive. All this and we have only really been looking for prices on printing and talking to a few people.
Guess it just shows that there is a demand just waiting to be tapped into. Just a pity a publisher won't do them in a run on a hundred ..... Oh well.

Don't you need money for that though Wes.

Seem to forget I have a little thing called a Wife.

Yep

Yes you do need money for it. But if you buy VW parts then it don't take long to save the mebership fee through discounts. Manx Club Members will save at least $5 of the cover price of the magazine for example.
I don't think there is any such thing as a free club, not a registered on anyway.
Oh well you can come up north and play for free anytime you want. Out next 12 - 18 mths of trips will be up after the AGM and BBQ on 31 May 03.

I don't expect things for free, just a pay rise. First year at anything sucks!

Give it a couple of years and the little things that make life living will come easier. Have to short list my events schedule and put some money into the Dog at the moment. Magazines and club memberships can come when I'm not broken down.

Thats why

See thats why you join a club, so you meet heaps of cool people who give you free stuff and help you out just for fun. I am not saying people won't help you if you ain't in a club, just that it makes them easier to find.

OK,
To order simply send an email to magazine@manxclub.org, from there I will contact you with your copy number. Then it is simply a case of sending the money ( $15 AUD for Manx Club Members ) to the club. or you can drop it off at the BBQ on the 31st.

Counting you guys there is only about 90 left already.
