Seagull, i had an alloy V8 in the back of my splitty ute for nearly 20 years , 4 wheel disc brakes, twin fuel tanks, etc etc etc--->
& raced that for about 4 years till my back couldn`t take it any longer ,then sold the buggy (minus the power plant) to an Airforce pilot at
Amberley... i re-built the whole engine & shoved it into a motorkhana special --->
but it only ran up the road & back, it was just insane to drive, my mates called it "whiplash" cause that`s what you got every gear change :-) so i
ripped it out of that thing & gave the frame to a mate of mine to fit a mini motor into it & teach his kids how to drive,,, so the whole power unit,
gearbox & adaptor assy is sitting here, all done up, like brand new, ready to fit into VW-whateva,,, just that i don`t have that "VW-whateva"
anymore... I sold all my Splitty stuff (except i still have a steering box & a few wide wheels left)
so,,, this is just sitting here taking up space where i can put my new buggy--->
I was thinking about turning the box upsidedown & building an open wheeler frame for it to go hillclimbing as i also have a full set of turbo
manifolds made ready & the T4 turbo fully overhauled sitting here that could go onto it as well,,, but i have way too many projects allready,
so it`s got to go,,, & it is totally spanking, i really has only gone up the driveway & 100 yards down the road maybe 3 times max,,, that`s as far as
it`s driven from new... there`s a heavy duty clutch pressure plate & copper puck plate with it as well.

Bond,,, My girlfriend took that pic while i was trying to repair a brake hose that split after i smashed into a big motha log at Moreton Island, got a
flat tyre & bent the right front riim & bent the steering tie rod all in one hit, hence why the small wheels are on the front. Normally had the
9.5R15s on the front with those huge 12R15s on the back.
I have a pair of 9.5R13" sand wheels & tyres here for sale too if anyone is interested,,, along with 2 kombi offset sunraisiers & 2 beetle offset
ones as well, all 6 wheels & tyres for $100,,, come & grab em better that someone gets some use out of them than just sitting here taking up space.

i cant believe you are selling this now, if it was a year ago i would have bought it in an instant!
it cost me just over $2000 to completely rebuild my 3.5 V8, let alone the cost of the conversion kit and geaRBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im so tempted to buy this,
damn that is a good price mate!

yeah i know, thanks Kevo,,, I really just havn`t got the room & i can`t see me doing another kombi V8 for some time as i`ve got my new yamy R1 powered
buggy on the go & am in the middle of building 3 new race minis, so this just has to go.
I can put onto a pallat & wire/rope/tape it all down & whack onto a courier/truck/van of your choice at buyers expense.
The funnyest thing about this conversion was when i did it the first time (about 26 years ago) was that it took just over an hour & the V-dub motor
was out & the V8 was in & running.
anyways, transport to anywhere in Oz shouldn`t be too hard to orgainise & i have had 2 calls on it so far, so there are people thinking about it,
fingers crossed that someone will get to feel the grunt that this thing produces... better get your brakes up to scratch tho :-)
It truely has only gone down the street a couple of times & that`s it
:-( I really don`t want to sell it, but it`s in the way,,, i can definately use the money on my buggy,,, & it would be even sadder to leave it sit &
not get used.

Besides,,, i`ve got another one of these alloy V8s, T4 turbo charged in the front of one of my race minis :-)
soooo,,, as you can see,,, i`ll have my hands pretty full with alloy V8 power even without the kombi V8 :-)

Ok,,, i`ll take $1700,,, this just has to go
I`ve got lack of room problems & i can`t see me getting another kombi ute to shove it into for years & i really need the money now too
It even comes with a fully over hauled starter motor
what`s wrong with you lot??? Don`t you like doin wheel stands? :-)
are you scared of real grunt under you right foot? :-)
who wants an absolute weapon at an absolute bargain???? Dam the engine cost more than twice that just to have overhauled , flowed, balanced, new
pistons & rings, bearings, new JP double row timing gears & chain, etc etc etc etc etc etc& it`s barely turned a kilometer or 2 since then, it`s
truely brand spanking, & bullet proof. My familly were the Brisbane Leyland distributors back in the day, this is a dam good donk, make no mistake!!!
& it is my own personal motor, not just something i`ve trown together. crickey!!!!
whoever buys this is going to laugh at all you guys for not buying it,,, it`s such good value,,, you will all kick yourselves for not grabbing it.

i do have a range rover one here that`s been modded to lie flat under the car & you`re welcome to it if you buy the donk & i have the old exhaust
that i used on my Zombie Ute & you`re welcome to it also, but you might want to have another couple of mufflers added for your neighbours sanity sake.
no pipes to plumb the water tho, you`ll have to sort some stuff like that, but i can help with info of how i did things easy-peasy, it`s not hard at
all, just a little bit of time & you`re away.
