I think in the early days Mike, there was a door key and an ignition key....
Memory not too good....
but someone did say You can change the tumblers so the same key does them all...
I haven't tried that trick as yet...

Would probably help you get a reply if you said what you want it for...
I know my 65 beetle is keyed alike for doors, engine lid and ignition if that helps.

Sorry, i am chasing a door lock barrel and an ignition unit complete from a late 50 to early 60's with keys, which have come from the same vehicle ie
keyed alike. I am building a car and dont have the said items, even take a set of door handles(which include the barrel) as mine are a little ratty. I
am sure there are plenty out ther some where? Thanks

From what i understand till 63 they uses separate keys. I just finish RErestore my car and i did tried with the key smith but cannot be
done........hope this helps.
