[WTB - SA] Wanted Rat/Super Rat Project

Hello Guys,
I am after a beetle in SA to do as a rat, the rattier the better, but must be all original (club rego). The aim is to make something that has a bit of character amongst the rest of the perfect clones. The earlier the better, and must be pre 74 (Ideally pre 68). Not too scared by rust and mechanicals, however it needs to be rust that can be repaired and the car still appear ratty if that makes sense.

This thing starts looking ratty if you dont wash or polish it. Check out the difference from when I got my hands on it to after a bit of a cut & polish. Good thing is its actually safe to drive (ie no structural rust like heater channels etc) compared to some of the heaps out there.

what you need is a '61 rag top.

that'd stand out in a crowd.

Would you be interested in a 73L, Its light blue and no major rust. I think all the guards were dented but will have to take a look and get pics if your interested.
The car is currently not running. About nine months ago someone (Old neighbours?) siphoned the full tank of premium fuel out. I only found out when a hundred meters from home I said "Crap better fill her up....wait a minute...I did yesterday" I fixed what I thought was wrong but still not getting any fuel to the carb. The motor is worn..roughly 90psi per cylinder, however I was driving it daily and it could easily reach 60mph going up Taps.

Would be keen to have a look at it, let me know where you are (or a phone number) via U2U and I will come and have a look. Also roughly what sort of money are you after for it?
