God lives!!!
Those of you that are old enough and possibly Poms as well may remember in the late sixties/early seventies when Elvis was called the King of rock and
roll it appeared a certain guitarist was declared God. Well Eric Clapton is still God! Went to see him last night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre
and he was awesome in every sense of the word, I have never in my life been so awestruck by a persons skill as I was last night, the guys accompanying
him were phenomenal but he took it a step further. My son who is 17 hasn't stopped talking about it and agreed that it knocked all other bands he's
seen for six (he's a Wolfmother fan and is going to see Mars Volta in a few weeks time). It was like watching a magic act where you know there's no
sleight of hand and is real magic. If any of you over in WA get the chance to get tickets for his next show do yourself a favour 'cos I don't reckon
you'll ever get another chance.

He never played 'Tears in Heaven' it seems -so I heard -that he's said he won't play it but he did play 'Layla' the original fast version as
opposed to the 'Unplugged' version at it was unbelieveable. It brought a lump to your throat it was that special, I could of easily stayed listening
for 24 hours straight, it just went much too quickly.Brilliant.Brilliant.Brilliant!!!

I definitely think now, I know I saw him in the early 70's but the old memory's not as good as it should be so I can't be sure anymore but maybe
the England Cricket team need the the drugs as it certainly can't hurt them (btw thanks for the reminder Ian!!)
