Turbo header question for those who have built them
Hi All, Just wondering...
Where the join in between in bend and the straight a little bit of weld has blown through the gap and i am worried about it breaking off and going
through my turbo... OUCH!
Have you got any suggestions of filing them down. Some of them are deep down the pipe. I have enquired about a bendy fitting for a die grinder but
that is over $100 and I will do it if it my only way. Suggestions?

we usally get it sand blasted down through the pipe after welding

I agree with Adam . Bead blast the pipes down the inside . After this , if it is still a concern , don't take a chance on destroying your turbo .
Just recut the pipe at the welded join , clean out the debries and reweld again . Sounds like a bit more work I know , but it may save you a lot of
headaches down the track .....

You could try using a long screw driver or a long big of steel sharpened up and a hammer it may knock off easy or you can blend it smoother by
chisling it off
Or you could weld a rotary grinding burr onto a long 1/4" piece of rod to fit into your die grinder spindle and get n there that way to grind the
"dags " off
if it does break off while the turbo is running you can bet it will destroy the turbine wheel
