LOTYP3

hey guys, just purchased a 73 square with LOTYP3 plates, but i have named it Charlene. will post pics soon.
got it 3 days ago, took it straight to the workshop where i work at (its a jap import shop), and gave it a quick detail and checked/drained/replaced oils and fluids, was going to clean carbies but lost time. drove it and later in the day it fucked up. turned out that the carbie was clogged, and now one of my cylinders aint got pressure. been told it probably needs a full recon, and i was quoted by volkkommen art 1600 bucks for a full reco, but if i want a reco and expand to a 1900 it would cost round 2500.
now i dont know shit all about VWs, so i have registered on to various VWs sites and have been looking at crap-ola. i just need a aussie site so i can get prices that are relative to me.

cheers and if anyone can help me it would be sweet.

what i do know is that if you goto volkommen art you will probably get great service.

HAVE YOU SEEN SOME OF HIS TURBO ENGINES?

awseome craftmanship.

1600 isnt bad for a recon.

Hi there - nice looking square, I have also just bought a 73 square after an eight year absence from the worl of VW's. I remember seeing this one just before I bout mine.... just not sure if I could deal with the colour...... no offense!

Looking forward to some help/advice in the not too distant future as I have just started to strip mine down and have begun some design sketches......

Hope to find out more about joining the hood ride movement if anyone in VIC has contact details.... I'll be at the Jamboree so will keep an eye out for some stencilled bugs.....

Great Forum by the way, looking forward to more VW action,

Cheers

.
