Racing Harnesses??
Hi,
Where is the best point/s to attach a racing 3 or 4 point harness? I have seen people attach them straight down from the seat back and I am led to
belive this is dangerous as it will break the seat into your back if you have a crash. I do not have a roll cage so am thinking of the rear firewall
but there are no anchor points there.
Where do you suggest???
Cheers
Ian.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail.....
But a true friend will be sitting next to you saying "Damm that was fun!!!"

With no cage, i mount mine through the rear fire wall. Have a 3mm thick, 40mm wide piece of flat across the engine bay. (check min required dimensions
from cams or andra).
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!

This is how mine are attached. Between the harness mounts I have also added a child seat mounting point.

Its recomended that the harness is within 10 degress below horizontal but 40 degrees is acceptable. http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/0609_0701.pdf
