Wtd: US Spec headlight lens

Hi All,

Am after a lens for one of my headlights as I have a mismatched pair.

Has anyone got one of the lenses in the photo's below?

Or if anyone has any leads that will be great also

Cheers

Hi Dino

I bought new ones from a Porsche dealer, they were about $120 each. They were used in 356s, the part number is 644 631 111 31.

don't bother buying the non genuine type, they have the optical properties of a Coke bottle.

Thanks Steve, will check it out.
With the optics, the lenses aren't fluted, how much difference would it be?

Cheers

Hi Dino

The after market ones are like looking through the bottom of a schooner glass, it will affect the way light is distributed.

I take lighting as serious subject, it gets more serious the older I get, this the set-up I'm going to use in my 1303, xenon low beams and the 356 lense over the top.

Haven't seen the aftermarket ones Steve, but I'll take your word for it, as I will need good lighting for my dub.

Craig, no different to what the OEM'ers are doing i.e porsche, VW, mini etc, 'cept the fact Steve hasn't built the housing to suit as yet.

Cheers
