Help !wanted !Dak-A-Tak


Thanks for looking, have a new toy in family !
Has had fire in engine bay . Like to know what product
to use on burnt areas ,to neutralize metal from fire and extinguisher chemicals.
Have wash down with alkaline heavy duty degreaser twice,engine bay and body on out side .
Thanks for any help!

I would take it back to bare metal and give it a really good scrub. Amate of mine had an engine bay fire in his charger and no matter how much he scrubbed it The extinguisher chems kept eating away so he took it all back to bare metal fixed the bay but the bellhousing was still eroding real quick

Get the damaged area bead blasted, then painted as soon a possible.

i heard that pool acid is a good cheap metal cleaner try a small area and see how it looks
