K&L narrowed beam for splitbus - caster corrected
King and link pin narrowed beams for splitbus with caster correction for lowered busses.
All new construction with 10mm sideplates and 3.6 mm tube (not chopped
welded and ground).
Will come with adjusters, new torsion arm bushes and new swing lever pin/bushes.
Ideally would be used with K&L dropped spindles.
I haven't costed them out exactly but they'll be around
the $800 mark on an exchange basis.

Yeah... You might want to change that little detail there Rob... Some peeps might get nit picky!....
But have you thought of making the centre pivot like the CB beam and the early beams?.... Flat plate with the centre pivot in a thick wall pipe?....
That way you could sell them outright and long-distance dubbers wont have the added costs!... Just an idea....
By the way.... They look real nice and a good price too!

G’day Humpty – how’s yer mad brother getting along?
I guess the ‘new construction’ comment was sorta directed at the fact that they are not cut, shortened, welded and ground. Played with that
method of construction and wasn’t very happy with the result. It’s also impossible to change caster using this method because the sideplate that
is left in place while the other end is cut and shortened holds everything at the old caster angle.
Method of construction aside, it is the caster angle change that will really help reduce the high speed wandering prevalent in lowered busses because
of excess negative caster.
I reuse centre pin holders, the torsion spring keepers and the torsion springs in these beams .
I could make the centre pin holder and the torsion spring keepers at some increase in cost (more than people might reasonably pay given they all
would have to be hand made/turned/machined). But I’d still need donor torsion springs which means I really need a donor beam anyway….If I could
find a source of torsion springs I could build all new – then I’d be left with the real problem of whether people would realistically pay what
they would cost (ie add cost of centre pin holder, keepers and torsion springs..).
Regards
RobK
