Running to Rich


My beetle which is running a 36 hp is running to rich how do I fix this. I took out my spark plugs which were pitch black and the exhaust fumes a really strong.

3rd post down is a sticky called Tech Resources sites or something

There are a HEAP of helpful sites - including this one

Pick what carb you have and tune it.

If that doesnt work you have the wrong jets / carbs / exhaust / collar & tie :duh

Whatever.... lets assume your car DID run well and just needs a tune.

Try this first and then tell us what happened
