How much is an Oval - new question
Similar question to the one posted by Lindon , but coming from a different angle.
The Shannons cover on my Oval is due for renewal. Currently has an agreed value of $5k. I'm thinking that this is a tad low. But how much should
it be????
57 Oval no rust
Updated interior
1600 motor
Growing list of accessories (think this is were a lot of the value lies)
Advice please VDubber brothers and sisters.

No Silver, just a weekend toy really. 4000ks per year limit, lock up garaged ect.
Thanks for all you input guys I appreciate it. You have confirmed what I was thinking. Too low by about half.
When you stop thinking about what it cost you and what you could sell it for. And start thinking about what it would cost to replace if you had a
total loss. Then you come up with a real figure.
Lardo luv to see some pics of your Oval.

Got me thinking too.
Mine is probably a little tattier than yours,
Interior - minimal.
Paint - showing cracks - a few places.
but mine has 1916, oh I mean 1300 rebuilt to critical specifications to go like a 1.9L.
Station Wagon brakes , 12 V , adj front end , + more,,,,
Mines insured with shannons for 5 K, but you are right , there is no way I could buy one for that , I'm relying on the fact that I would get the
wreck back.
But if stolen then No Way - at least I could get the engine and a totally stuffed 60's beetle, lets see add 2 years work and couple more
thousand and I'd have a reasonable 60's Beetle.
