cfm of a porcshe fan


hi all ,
i was thinking of replacing my belt driven fan set up for electric,does anyone know what a standard vw or porcshe fan will flow in cfm

This was discussed on either the Shoptalk forums or German Look forums in detail.

Your going to need some decent powered batteries to be able to supply all the amps it needs, and how are you going to regulate the fan speed to engine RPM?....

stock type one fan puts out 1260 cfm at 4000 rpm ,type 4 bus 1700 odd cfm, rpm at around the same :ratwell forum on tech talk links in this thread

thanks for the info.
if a stock fan only runs 1260 cfm there are plenty of fans capable of more flow than that.
i plan on runing mine of a temp sensor with a variable resistor,hopfully i can copy the standard fans flow for the diferent rpm's.
there are a few diferent ways of doing it so i have a fair bit of work to do.
