Brake problem, help

After the saga of stuffed master & wheel cylinder, I final got brakes back but I noticed that the brake lights are on all the time now. Push brakes, lights on. Brakes off, light will go off for 1 sec then back on again. Pull hand brakes up, lights go off????????????? Obviously not a wiring problem, what the hell is the problem? The pedal is high and stiff (and effective)

Brakes

Your system is not letting your M/C released the pressure. When you put the handbrake on it pushes fluid back to the M/C which releases the pressure in teh area where the switch is at. Try backing your pedal off a little and giving it more free play. If this has no effect, bleed out the M/C
