clutch release bearing assembly
does anyone in Aus sell a guide tube adaptor that fits to an early gearbox to enable a late style clutch release bearing to be used. my engine was
balanced with a late type diaphram clutch to suit a late 1300 gearbox, i"m now replacing it with an early swing axle gearbox.

I think you can replace the clutch bearing shaft/arm thingy for a different one... can get different bushes to suit also

aircooled.net sells them.
I have tried to find one in OZ before with no joy... It is the best option, or you can carefully screw a late style bearing guide to the early trans
housing, but its not as sturdy as the seal version...
T/O Bearing ADAPTER Collar Part #: CFP0010
Price: $ 30.00
This sweet product pushes in to replace the mainshaft seal (this includes the new seal) and lets you use the 1971' T/O shaft and LATE T/O Bearing
(and the late pressure plates, which includes the 210 and 215mm units) on 70' and older transmissions! Includes the input shaft seal! We recommend a
set screw to secure this in place.

the kennedy pads are shite. I had one come apart, it chewed through the fingers of the pressure plate over time...
which is why I went to the late style clutch.... in an early car with type 4 and twin carbs.... nightmare to remove.
Easiest to do it right the first time to last!!
