KG shift rod

Hey guys,

I've been finishing up the work on our karmann ghia pan this week and need some advice on the shift rod.

There was no shift rod fitted when we bought the car however there was one in amongst the parts, it is damn near identical to a beetle item however it seems to be minorly kinked. Both ends line up in a straight line however the rod goes through a subtle bend-and-back-again along its length. I thought I would sus out with you guys if this is normal for KG's or not before I risk wrecking the rod bushing fitting it to the pan.

Cheers,
Cam

beetle ones are kinked too... its normal.
clean the rod up all smooth if rusty at all, and grease it up as you feed it through the bush.
