Freight from Brisbane

Hey guys I just bought a set of wheels from sinecure (Mick) in Brisvegas. Can anyone suggest cheapest and best ways of getting them to Melbourne

Cheers Paul

Bubble wrap each one and send them individually, registered post (that way they are insured)... Take one to the post office and they will give a price. I sent 2 rims from Townsville (FNQ) to some outback yokel town in NSW and they cost $39 each and weighed 18 kg each. Was about 1/3 the price i was quoted by all freight companies I rang...might be worth a try?? If you box it it will cost more as you're charged a cubic meter price (more expensive).Leave it "round" and it will be based more on the weight of the item:thumb Nice score BTW...:thumb

I will take one to the post office and check for you after I have the tyres stripped off tomorrow Paul. I sent you a link to a mob that seemed quite reasonable AirRoad direct I think.

Cheers,

Mick.

I think Busfreight will be the cheapest. They'll do door to door which will be a bit more than depot to depot. Sent a set of Raders to Bris for $100. Call Greyhound.
Well bought Paul. Great look.

Busfreight said they only sent packages up to 25kg, but I guess that would just mean sending the wheels as two packs. AirRoad seemed ok at $93 booked online, Brisbane to Melbourne.

I'll call Busfreight again tomorrow (2 days off then graveyard shifts starting Friday 10pm - boo).

Going with good ol' Aus Post. Two boxes, two wheels to a box, just a smidge under $60 delivered from local Brisbane PO to Melbourne address.
