subaru twin turbo motor and modified box

I am geting more interest on the 914 in stock form so I might pull the ej20tt and the modified subaru 5 speed and sell them. It is a 96 gt liberty motor that was bench run prior to purchase with about 70k on it, they are set up as a midmount and come with a full harness, computer and performance clutch. Also custom box and engine mounts and shifter linkage set up.Perfect for a spyder formula v or kombi mid mount conversion....or a bug if creative. $2000 ono

Quick question.
How would one of these engines go in an 'AUTO' 77 Microbus?
Not sure how the 2lt auto gearbox would handle the power from the ej20tt engine.

I've been thinking about a Subaru conversion for the power and fuel milage for a while now but have been worried about the auto gearbox.

very well , the TT motor makes very good power down low under 3K

the auto box would be very good with this combo , these are a very stock gear box with a small up grade to the clutch pack ( adding one clutch & a cooler ) will last for ever

I've been thinking about a Subaru conversion for the power and fuel milage for a while now but have been worried about the auto gearbox.
