Electric water pump info
Has anyone used or know anything about good electric water pumps? At idle I dont think there is always enough flow in my EJ20T fasty conversion due to
length of piping.
Would imagine they are not cheap either.

They work very well in the right place. I have one on my Holden and it is fantastic. I even have a turbo timer fitted so that it runs on for a couple
of minutes after shut down. $240 Davies Craig brand. The computer controller is another $270. I have mine running continuous, with no controller.

Yer mate they are great,
my mate runs his LC 202 track car on a davies craig electric water pump also and on a switch so that you can let it run for a minute or so longer
after shut down to ensure the engine doesnt get "heat soak" (same as compayo is talkin about)
just blew the bearings in the rover V8 water pump (pumps becoming hard to come by for those engines as they're 30 years old!), so i am looking at
installing one too,
if u get one post up and let us know how u go!

Thanks guys, Davies Craig sound good. Where would best placement be, close to the engine? And would you run these with the engine pump as well or as
you say you let them run on for a while...........would the old mechanical pump be restricting flow?
What about thermostat, how do they work in with that if it hasnt opened up yet?

doesnt matter if the thermostat hasn't opened yer, your mechanical pump still pumps when the thermostat is closed too eh! it wont damage the electric
pump at all,
as long as the electric pump is placed ponting the right way up it works anywhere through the system,
if ya mechanical pump still works another water pump should only boost the amount of water your system will push!
