Cost of fitting a rag-top

Can anyone give me an idea of how much it would cost to instal a rag-top into a 60's beetle. I live in Melb so who would be able to do it?
Cheers

Hmmmmm....thats a really good question mate. Having done it myself there is a $hitload of hours involved in grafting in an original Golde clip (not sure if this is your intention or is it an aftermarket?). Not working in a professional body shop, I can't give you an accurate idea of hours as I took my time - you may find some places not really willing to give a set quote.....maybe they will just work on a per hour basis as it is not a job that is done regularly and therefore they may have a hard time calculating hours. Just being a devil's advocate though - hopefully someone can give you an accurate idea!

CRAP thats more than buying a friggen after market kit :O!

would be quiet a bit for a professional job. would include paint and everything... tis understandably expensive.

Try Australian VW Performance centre in Lusher Rd Croydon. They do some really nice work.

I would estimate fitted, painted and trimmed if owner supplies sunroof parts

Original VW Golde roof - $4000

Britax roof - $2000
