Disk brake rear for bug

no longer required for my project .

2 x New in box rear disk brake hub / disk ( in one ) undrilled > ( no stud pattern drilled ) can not fit wide 5 drilling $250.00 .I can drill to your requirments for a fee .PM me for your requirment & I see what I can do .

2 x New in box disk brake hub c/w cross drilled new in box ford disks ( drilled 5 x 14.3mm ) c/w studs $350.00

you can do the rear disk brake conversion with the above with ford calipers ( search the conversion section for details )

I never ever will drill & tap diskes mate only fit studs for that aplication

That section is 22mm thick , but I hate the idea of drilled & taped studs .
I have long series ( new ) studs & nuts , this is safer !

Said sent successfully, and came up as 'Read' later on in Outbox, but I don't think I put a subject in, so my bad.

The reason for wanting the first set was that I need them drilled as standard 4 stud VW pattern, otherwise the cross-drilled rotors would have been my choice.

I was also trying to find info on fitting them to my type 3 kitcar, and noticed that you used to make backing plates to suit IRS. Do you still do this?

What about brake lines and handbrake cables etc.? Would I need to modify them to suit the Ford calipers?

As I'm being a HUGE pain in the arse anyway, can you post a link to the conversion info? The only one I can find is a HUGELY expensive exercise by vwcool I think.

this looks cheap
Neil has the ford EA backing plates that he welds the ford oem holes up & redrills them on a jig .I seen a set on the shelf at his house the other week .
As for the brake lines he gets these made & they are full ADR , I purchased a set from his Dragon brake down .
the brake cables are the factory for units Jenny T did a write up some time back on this set up .

all in all Neil is a top guy & these a New in box items

lol... my HUGELY expensive exercise is still underway... you should see the stack of invoices and brakesd parts I have here!!

It's the front vented disc conversion that has chewed up my cash; in comparison, developing two types of rear disc kits has cost me less money than the fronts..

I can supply two types of rear disc setup based on Ford (287mm) or Nissan (260mm) both with VW stud pattern, if you run out of steam elsewhere

Dumone also has a good set of pics and some info on installing Ford rear discs:

Yeah, ta mate! Damien u2u'd me with the link to his info, and also advised me that if I was running the type3 wide drums (which I am), that it probably wouldn't be worth it performance wise to change to discs.

Your set-up is awesome, it just seemed a TAD expensive :P , and as it's basically a cosmetic change for me, I may just leave it as is.
