I had similar damage done to an 1835 in about 1980 when we tried (successfully eventually after about 3 and a bit engines destroyed) to fit nitrous. After about 10 seconds everything goes very silent with plenty of smoke (always white smoke? Never sussed that one out!) At the time the only system we had available was on or off no variable(?) injection. Scary as all hell when it worked with the back wheels suddenly trying to overtake the front at around 50 mph! Had pistons seize inside the barrels, valves welded in the head and all the associated damage caused by the whole thing suddenly coming to a halt. Ah the days when I had money to spend on me:jesus
