WTB: IRS Single side cover 3.88 r&p box

Hello everyone,

I am after a single side plate IRS box with a 3.88 r&p. This has an AT code stamped on the case and is supposedly from post 1973 1303 beetles etc.

I (well not me personally) will be building a swing axle box with albins gears but need the 3.88 r&p and a few other bits internally. Trying to do it on a budget but like any performance mods the little costs seem to add up quickly!

Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
Alan

Cheers Damo - Brad has been helpful thus far and has one if I can't find another.

I also forgot to say it needs to be type I (not from type III).

Cheers Colin - thanks for the chat - as discussed I'll give you a buzz back in the next few days re. working out freight etc and we'll take it from there.

Thanks
Alan

2nd hand is fine as all I really need is the 3.88r&p, reverse gear and a few other bits internally. Considering the albins gears are going to cost $1300, and the super diff etc etc....I don't really want to spend a fortune on the donor box (if possible!).

Can you u2u me any details bizarre?
Cheers
Alan
