I was thinking your caravelle would be a great buy with something like this in mind.
You must've read my mind.
Hope you can pull it off

Its my favourite bus ever, in fact my 2nd favourite car I've ever owned. Just can bring myself to get rid for the sake of a motor that as we all know
wasn't VWs best ever idea. H6 I figure will probably be kinder to the auto that an EJ22. Still cheaper than rebuilding the wasser (probably).
That what comes of hanging out in The Brick Yard forum ... hense the sale of the 63 Panel Van, I'd rather trick up the T3, and aiming to get some T3
bling at BVF in the UK in a few weeks.
Its not until you own a T3 that you know why it remains the nicest bus to drive ever.

that's the old SVX motor, I think it's called the EG33. The ER27 is even older and is not so easy to get parts for out here. You want the EJ30 (I
think that's right). It's a little smaller but a bit more powerful from what I understand. Deano, do you have to keep it Auto? There's a very
strong case for going manual.
BTW, expect to pay BIG$$$ for an EJ30. They're only a few years old and probably sought after.
Be cheaper to chuck a wasserboxer in ya current one, sell it and buy the one on car sales I reckon. But I'd like to see you do an EJ30 conversion. It
should be the same belhousing as the 4cyl motors.
