66 Beetle - help on Questions

My 66 Beetle

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r213/kombimatt/Fritz/100_2627.jpg

http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r213/kombimatt/Fritz/100_2623.jpg

Can't locate compliance plate.
Has one plate behind spare wheel that tells me its a type 1 and weight in pounds for front and rear axle.

Any ideas what colour I have can't find colour plate/code?

My bug doesn't have strut supports behind bumpers for bumper overriders. Should I have single blade bumpers and does this mean I have a standard?

If I have a standard what levels of interior trim should I have. Headlining is long gone - replaced with carpet and there is no trim down the pillar or around the windows. Pics of anyone elses would be appreciated

Any other things that are specific to a standard?

Whilst this is a daily driver now - long term plans are to resto and I would like to do it as close to orig specs as possible. I'm figuring my bug has been messed about with over the years so not sure what belongs and what doesn't!!

Thanks

The car is too old/early to have a compliance plate; there won't be one. There may be a body build plate, however, but this is not a 'legal' requirement

As far as I am aware, the Colours of these 60s cars was announced on a cheapo sticker that was stuck behind the spare wheel. It will probably be long gone...

It looks to me like a 'late' standard: Eariier Standards were built without the side trims as well as no bonnet trim, plus had grey painted blade bumpers unlike your chrome ones. Glovebox lid, headining/trim and fuel gauge (none fitted) I think were the other differecnes - others may know more

My first Beetle was a '66, it had the big bumper:

=====()======()=======

the little chrome front vents, and no fuel gauge (I used a stick in the tank, as it went straight down).

There was no compliance plate for colour etc and it was 6v. There were no trims around windows and I think the perforated headliner.

I think the color is the same as my '65 - and I think that color is 'Birch Green' L511...
