Question type 3 motor into baja?
I was wondering if anybody has put a type 3 motor with all the type 3 configuration (cooling etc) into a baja. The fan at the back looks similar setup
to kombi 1700-2000 and they dont use the same sort of ducting as the type 3 to get the cooling air into the motor. The major problem I see is that the
muffler may need to be shielded to keep the hot air away from the intake but with the back of the engine bay open the cooling air shouldn't be
restricted. I will probably have to modify the oil filler pipe.
Any suggestions or advice?
Thanks
Steve

i have one in my bug but it's up right
and it's way lighter
there is a few thinks you have to do
the oil dip stick will need an adaptor or block it off and drill the case
there is no oil Pressure hole on the side of the case it's on the cooler
and if you go up right you will need to run a bigger stud for one of the oil cooler adaptor
and may have to drill the other two out (not sure it has been over a year)
then you would need all the t1 tinware
the flat would run ok in a baja i think
but id ad a mount onto the rear bar work
