Hey Dave, that is a nice idea for the return line. What size (inside diameter) pipe and hose are you using for the fuel system?

Also sorry if you have covered it already but is there going to be a swirl pot/surge tank anywhere? Finally can you give some info re. what type of pump is that you are using (is it a low pressure pump for the return....or if it is a high pressure efi pump then why the low pressure filter?)

Sorry for all the questions!
Alan

Alan

The feed line from tank to pump is 1/2 or 13mm the main feed and return lines to n from engine are rubber 5/16 or 8mm

No i am not using a surge tank a few people have done it this way and providing your not cornering at 100klms per hour or racing it should be good for street also must remember not to go below 1/4 tank

The pump is off a VL Commondore 3.0 Litre Fuel Injection so it will be able to feed a 2 Litre engine no probs its HP or the main or only fuel pump

The filter is there to remove any junk from the tank and is a heavy duty plastic type that will handle the suction from the pump

I have another HP filter on the feed line prior to the fuel rails, which will be located under the rear firewall and is of metal construction

no probs with the questions

Dave, top job and looks very factory. How do you think the accelerator pedal feel will be. Even with the factoy EFI plenumb setup I couldnt quite get the pedal feeling right, too much spring or not quite enough.

looks good, the 3 litre VL injectors should keep uip with a 1916 well enough, not turbo is it??
gives me ideas for Danielles beetle - only the inlet could have a bit of a plenum in the middle and four individual runners all the way, similar to the factory type.

hmmm I'm still logged on as Danielle.. oops.
