Based on my experience with EFI this is what Id recommend

Injectors are way too big . I was running 580s in the S3 when it made 330whp and they were about 90% duty cylce . Your better off getting 280s off a golf gti if you plane on going turbo or even 200cc off a VR6 if your keeping it N/A . Also the newer injectors have a better spray pattern than the earlier ones .

I would also run heatshielding on the fuel rails . if your going turbo the rails will prob need to be replaced as will fuel pump .

What fuel pressure are you running ?
Is it wideband or narrowband ?
Is it running a MAP sensor or TPS only ?
Where abouts is the temperature sender ?

the injectors are 260cc i had them flowed

fuel pressure is 45lbs

it runs TPS then flicks over to MAP

the temp sensor is in the head

Hi

I am new to this forum and searched and found your EFI project, fascinating !!

I want to do something similar but am struggling to find much information on it... Any tips ?

I was thinking along the lines of a Ford EDIS ignition system hooked upto a Megasquirt, not even thought about fuel rails and injectors.....

Any advice would be appreciate.

Thanks

Hi,
I just found this forum today and it sounds great. I have a '71 Ghia with my home built FI on a 2276cc NA engine. I used a 52mm TB from a '87 Dodge van 3L v6, CB FI end manifolds with my center section. CB fuel rails with 3/8" steel hard lines to the 20lb injectors. I run 40psi at the injectors. I installed two new 3/8" steel fuel lines through the tunnel with a pre pump filter up front and the HP filter up by the starter. I have EDIS ignition with Megasquirt MS2. I only have about 100 miles on the car so far but performance is unbelievable!! Now if I can figure out how to send some photos I will and also happy tp answer any questions. I know I had a lot of them.
Good to find you guys from down under :)
