The length of a Karmann Ghia?

Can anyone tell me the overall length, bumper to bumper of a 60s KG? They are on a beetle pan, correct? But are they the same length or longer than a beetle overall?

any help would be great, thanks.

ok so thats pretty much exactly the same as a beetle then isn't it?

I might just take one of mine round to his place and test fit it with his other car and se how he goes, doesn't want to rush into buying a KG if it won't fit in his garage!

Can anyone with one confirm a measurement for me????

I was going to say I *think* that the overall length is like an inch greater than the beetles. (From an old VW mechanic up here)

But seems we've already got proper measurements.

depends on the bumper bracket set up
...eyelets may make it that long Nick

mine is on a t3 irs pan btw

also park the beetle at an angle and u can have some extra room (due to beetle curved bumper.

thanks for the help Nick.

I'll take a beetle around to his joint and do some measurements and help him decide if his STi and a KG will fit.

Thanks guys

bushed. If you parked the bug at an angle, wouldn't it take up more room? It would be longer diagonally than front to back?
