EJ22 floods when starting
My EJ22 in my bay has been running fine for over a year. Yesterday it started fine in the morning then in the evening it wouldnt start, smelt really
strongly of fuel. It seems like if I leave it for any time with fuel pressure still in the injectors it floods. Like the injectors are leaking. If I
bleed the fuel pressure before stopping it its fine.
New injectors?
New fuel pressure regulator?
New injector O seals?
Any ideas?
Cheers.
Simon.

Sounds like leaking injectors, does it flood in all cylinders or just one?

Im not sure. I assume it must be more than one or it would start OK but just be a bit smokey until the one leaky cylinder had cleared. Its on my list
of jobs to do to leave it overnight then spin it over with the plugs out and see what comes out of each plug hole.
