too many...so 2 to go......buses that is

it is with much regret that i announce the sale of 2 of my kombies.......

they are both listed on ebay
the reserve is fair...tho i'm not sure what unfair is:)

1st one is a 1959 microbus, originally a two tone mango green and white, pretty much complete except for the motor, some glass and the rear seats, she's pretty solid and straight with good roof, gutters, window edges, nose, doors, floors and sides....known issues are rust in the sills and panel work required to lower rear quarters where there is bog present, the repair doesnt look too serious, and the 'B' pillar on the passenger side...some pics.....

the second offering is the 69 microbus that turned up on friday from tassie....
also pretty solid with a 1600 twin port that had, i was told, been rebuilt by the previous owner not long before it was parked.....known issues are...

engine lid needs to be replaced
rust in the short sills, though not the wheel arches
rust in the front floor, but not the back
rust in window edging, front and 2 sides
rust probly in nose too, though i havent looked closely
body filler present in the middle nose section, seems to be fairly thick, so i'm not sure of the extent of work needed there (maybe new nose)
some panel work needed in rear quarters
its been parked for some years so most of the mechs will need to be looked at

some pics

yeah i'm worried cos not sure whether i've done the right thing by listing them together......getting a few questions from people only wanting the splitty, that's only natural i spose, only prob i see is the interstate guys wont be keen to pay freight for 2 vehicles when they only want the one......of course a 69 donor aint easy to find these days either:duh

raising some dosh for a 57 kombi resto, and a 60 s/c ute resto, and a 72 microbus deluxe resto.......not goin to be enuff is it:crazy:
