So everyone's electronic ignition car is now useless, and its survival of the fittest................I'm thinking of a Baja beetle !

Help me build a VW to survive in the "new world".........what would you do to it ?

a few years ago i was on a motorway in the uk, i was in a ratty old orange beetle, 60mph flat out! EVERYTHING was passing me!, it was raining heavens high, all of a sudden a thunderbolt / lightning struck the feild next to the motorway, there was a huge flash, the feild was smoking, there was a big hole, and every single vehicle within sight stopped, exept my bug which had to weave in and out of all the bmw's mercs, etc etc, the EMF had killed all those fancy cars and blocked the motorway! i got home hours before my mates!

Two Legs

I've got two legs from my hips to the ground,
And when I move them they walk around,
And when I lift them they climb the stairs,
And when I shave them they ain't got hairs.

I've got two legsā€¦

Thank you Mr Terry Gilliam

I'm reminded of a science fiction short story that I read about a gold prospector who came into town for his six monthly visit to stock up on supplies. Instead of being in its usually untidy state the town was immaculate. What had happened was that the sun had gone into a state of massive sun spots and every electronic thing on earth had stopped working. Because there was no radio, TV, telephones etc., people had more time on their hands and they cared for their houses more.

If a situation arose in which such a thing happened to the earth today and every eletronic car stopped working, it would not be long before we could buy kits to convert our eletronic cars to run with old style distributors and carburettors.

Anyone with an old car would be sitting pretty.
