Does anyone know the Model numbers for the T3 Panel Vans produced at the Clayton factory pre 1970.?
Example of Model sequence numbers are;

Panel Vans

Bill,

I'm not sure of the model designation, but the Panel van was an M-code option of M265. All Clayton vans were produced in 1965 and were Ruby Red in colour, and had a number starting PC stamped in the spare wheel area.

I had one, but sold it to a guy in Adelaide who has a nice black one thats been in lots of mags.

Cheers

Steve

Guys,
Thanks for the model clarification and pics.
For the 366 V30 model there was a total of 516 units off the production line. Of this 455 units were built by the end of December 1965 and a further 61 units produced during 1966. The last 7 units came off the production line in September 1966.
I dont have any colour details and am surprised there are so many units. ( nearly as many as the Country Buggy)
These numbers are from original VWA factory production line records so if the model # is correct then so are these production volumes.
The dates appear to fit as well.
The Station Wagon was model 366 V31 and at the end of 1966 they had produced 6595 units with a total production run of the Wagon being 9284. In 1969 they produced 20 wagons with 19 of these in January and February. The very last wagon was produced in July 1969 ( yep as late as July 1969)
Regards,
Bill.

Steve,
Good pic.
Interesting that this may be a "production" code number ,something like the Country Buggy KO number.
Looks just like a small welded plate which has been manually stamped. This is not unlike the CB plate.
Do we know of any other vehicles that we could check the plate reference details.
Maybe because they needed to be produced in smaller numbers and would have required special tooling/panels they were all tracked by number.
Bill

Import Advantage up here is Brisbane used to have one signwritten and used as a delivery vehicle. The company has since changed hands and was bought by Imparts. I havent seen the vehicle in a long time, so may have gone with the owners when the company was sold.
