Narrow light / eyed Baja

The narrow light Baja seems less common than the wide light version. Is there any reason for this ? I see Custom off road and Fibre Fab have wide light kits for sale, yet not a narrow light one available any where in Aus.

Is this a regulatoy thing ? light spacing, etc....?

yeah def not legal in NSW either
lights are 2 close toghether
same reason mk2 landrovers and morris minors had the headlights moved out/up

if one is still registered its ok but they wont pass them again for a blueslip

Thats probably why my bug eye kit had no headlights in the nose cone and only them in the cut down beetle guards.

So this rule must of been passed in the 50's as for the morris minor. I can see why cause a motorist would think it was a bike rather than a Baja lol. Anyhow the bug eye kit is still legal in USA????

Cheers Will.

yeah i think the lights need to be about 65 cms apart to be legal.

mines a bug eye, but i have buggy lights mounted on the bar work.

there is a wide eye bugeye version that conforms, lights stick out to the side a bit, otherwise just chuck spotties in there and your headlights elsewhere

or run a bug eye nose cone with wide eye guards, i was going to do this but changed my mind. then you can have 4 headlights.
