just don't pay if he's not willing to be nice about it, you get a NPB(non-paying bidder) strike, which no one can see anyway, and just leave no feedback until he does and see what he says.

or offer him $1.20 to cover the cost of re-advertising

dont worry about it, a non payer bidder strike is no big deal. I bid on some stuff a while back before realising it was pick up only. I told the bidder I couldnt complete the deal and advised him to relist and he could no bid strike me but he acted like I had killed his mother !
threatened to come and bash me etc etc. Some people take Ebay far too seriously for their own good. i never heared from the guy again and he didnt bother to no bid strike me.

Have you tried..

kroozn,
Withdraw or cancel your bid? I've done it, admittedly about a year ago so I don't know what FleaGay rules are like now.

This assumes the auction is still active.

Thats harsh.
As said above, can you not cancel your bid? If its finished the seller could just do a second chance offer to the next bidder so he doesn't have to relist and pay any extra charges, he just loses the $1 more that you bid

you can do a bid retract.
provided there is a reasonable amount of time left to go in the auction.
put in a bid of, say, $1000, then do a bid retract saying you put in the wrong amount.
this will remove ALL your bids on that item.

Mate I got a no pay strike on fleebay cause I forgot to read the terms thingo-my bad---it was for a 15 buck keyring and the guy wanted a bank draft and stamps and crap , it would have cost me more to pay for the farkin thing than it was worth --I asked him for an Acc No so I could DD the 15 bucks and he did'nt want to do that so it was GGF'd time for him , if you're good on paying and you get one of those people who look up that kind of stuff they can tell its a one off--if he's that desparate to sell it what kind of condition is it in anyway ??
Faaarrrk --fleebay just aint that important:crazy:
