A mate and myself saw some weird lights in the sky doing things that planes/helicopters can't while working night shift. Freaked the both of us out. Told my girlfriend at the time about a week later what I'd seen as it was still spinning me out and she said her uncle saw the same thing on the same night while going outside for a smoko.
To this very day, I still cannot explain what we saw other than it was some freaky shit. (this happened about 10 years ago now)...

Woke up paralysed at one stage at night, and i psyked myself up and then came out of it...

let alone the interesting things at the old house i used to live in. My family got used to it, but everything would knock in the room, followed by another near by, then something else next after, and next after, and progressively went around the room like as though someone was having their hand out tapping everything on the way.

Even the kettle turning on during the mid/dead of night when no one was awake.
Or the multiple street lights that turn off directly once u drive under them.
Maybe even those situations where i have a deep thought or contimplation and the lights in the room flicker.

I'm a magnet for strange happenings, its wierd :( :duh

In Ireland a few years back, we stopped off at a stately home to read the sign on the gate explaining its Irelands most haunted house.
Just then a labrador came round from the other side of the car. I stroked it before it wandered back. I followed a few feet behind but when I got to the other side of the car it had gone and there was nowhere it could have hid without us seeing it.

in the uk i worked for sara-lee it was on an ex-airfeild, the damaged planes from the war used to crash land next to the run way, people always saw freaky stuff, a us army jeep driving thru the corn but not flattening it, a plane coming in to land but when people go to help it it dissapears!
one night the security guard came in and asked for some help, and extra torches, theres a guy laid in the road, so me the guard and another engineer went onto the road, under a street light and in the glare of the security guards van lights, and with three torches shining we all saw a body laid with his back to us,a white guy wearing a duffel coat, dark trousers, boots, short dark hair, not moving. we all walked about 150 yards / meters, and we got to about 10 yards the body just faded away, it vanished before our eyes. i have never been so scared in my life.
we didnt say a word to each other till we got back to work, we looked again the guy was gone!
we had a few other scares as well! it was a very spooky place!

I remember when I was travelling around Oz we were up at Hughenden I think. We were lying back looking up at the stars when this one light went zig zig through the air, stopped, and then just took off at at immense rate.

In my first house I'd bought, a previous owner had passed away in there. I'd always felt a presence in there. One night, I felt it again, and I said out loud, "it's ok - we're going to look after your house, give it a coat of paint, and do some work in the yard". I never felt the presence again.

About 12 years ago, a friend of mine was renting a house in Moorabbin with his girlfriend. There was a "presence" in the house which became fairly intrusive and annoying during the night time. One night when Greg had to go to work for night shift, all kinds of weird stuff happened scaring the daylights out of his girlfriend. He was only gone for an hour but they ended up moving out that night and staying with relatives.
Needless to say, the house is now a car-park. Land lord had trouble finding tennants for months after they left. Ended up loosing heaps of money and killed himself.

well it wasn't anything spooky in particular, but it was like a spooky scene from a horror movie.

I was up in Townsville riding my motorbike home from work (at a large industrial site) at around mid-night. There was a violent thunderstorm close-by, but no rain.

I was riding along on a deserted road when I came to the train crossing and the lights came on. I stopped and sat there as the long ore train rattled past just in front of me. I had just the dim trail-bike headlight showing the carriages flash past one at a time, and every now and then a flash of lightning light up the whole train and surrounding area.

The train was creaking and clanging as it went past, and the thunder was loud when the lightning hit. It was hot and humid with that rain smell in the air.

Just the atmosphere it all created was really spooky. I was kinda waiting for a zombi to pop up through the ground beside or something :)

You feel a bit more exposed to a sudden late night zombi ambush on a bike (cos you can't wind up the windows), and with an ore train blocking your escape :D

Don't know about spooky scary but how about spooky coincidence. About a year after me and the wife emigrated to Oz and were living in Redland Bay we met my parents who's just emigrated and my sister and her family from NT at the Redland Bay Hotel for a beer or two. Anyway my young nephew went missing but this old couple said they saw him go somewhere into some bushes. This couple were English and said they were visiting their son who lived in town so we asked them where they lived in England. Well they were from Sutton, me and the wife had been living in Sutton, "whereabouts?" Off Gander Green Lane, "we lived near there in Frederick Road" Then they said "we live at 127" me and the wife had lived in 123!! Now that was freaky but then the old lady said to my old mum "I know you" and my mum said " I said to my husband that I recognise you from somewhere". It turned out that they had grown up together across the street from ona another but the other lady had to be evacuated when her house was bombed during the war. Now this had all happened on the other side of the bloody planet and what are the chances of something like that happening:o

in my 1st flat the back bedroom was always very cold, and it felt very clostrophobic in there, i hated going in there but i kept my spares there!
i had a bag of fertiliser at the bottom of the stairs, (like you do) it had been there for a few months, it was the last thing to be in the flat when i left, i got to the bottom of the stairs and shouted back "its been great living here, hope you get another good mate!" with that the bag just fell over! there was no wind or vibration or anything, it scared the sh*t out of me i couldn't get out fast enough!!

Ok here's one of mine.

I was staying the weekend at my parents cottage, its about 300 years old, oak beams and low ceilings. It was a Saturday night and I went for a couple of beers with a good mate...that's all we had to drink then went back to his place, watched a couple of vids and drank cups of tea. We know how to party ;)

At 3 in the morning I decided to call it a night and leave to go backto my folks. When I was going up the stairs to bed I noticed a light on in the living room, i peered through the patterned glass to see a figure walk into the living room then walk back and bend over and look into the china cabinet. I thought it was strange so I went upstairs and peered into my folks room thinking someone was about. My folks were fast asleep and so was my girlfriend in the room next door.

Thinking we had a burglar, I alerted everyone that someone was in the house. I was looking for something to wallop them with when my old man charged down the stairs, i joined him and checked all the windows, doors and places that would hide some one....could not find a living soul!!

My old man blamed the beer was too strong for me and went back to bed. lol

In St Kilda in Melbourne in the 1960s I live in a flat that was haunted by a poltergeist. Things would be moved overnight. We made an agreement with the spook, that if anything was damaged we would get a Catholic priest in an exorcise it.

When we move in there were very big sewing needles taped into the door frames to each bedroom. That is supposed to stop them from moving through the doorframe. It limited the spook to the rest of the flat.

It stayed until one day I burned some incense. After that there was no more sign of it. The reason why churches burn incense in some of their rituals is that spooks don't like it and stay away or go away.
