WTB - Wide 5 Hub Caps

Hello all,

It seems as though it might be a while until I get some BRM's - in the mean time I need some genuine / stamped wide 5 hub caps to suit my '65 T1 in as close to perfect condition as possible.

Please let me know even if you don't have a complete set as I will work toward getting a complete set over time...

Same as in picture please (my existing set are 'dinged' up):

Thanks all in advance!

John how about painting those wheels a mellow orange colour as i was keen to do it on our old car but the boss/wife said NO as i reckon it would look cool with the contrast and stock rims de clipped are "REAL" old school ,finished off of coarse with all the tyre lettering hilighted in white with a nice set of 195 wide baggys on the rear

Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

I like that idea - and had considered something similar... I will definately consider your idea further to fill in time until 'new' wheels become available.

Jon,try ringing around, you never know what may pop up, but out of the few places I tried Vintage had the last set, but they initially said only wider 6.5s were all they had, but they went for a double check and came up with the 5in wide set I got. Otherwise, yeah, you could be waiting a while.

I'm going to repaint my stock steelies a different colour to black once the BRMs go on the oval, just so the alternative wheel choices aren't both black!

Have you tried CVD for the caps, repros? Or are you after genuine VW originals?

Michael - I am after genuine VW originals in perfect condition (or close to) - how do you like my chances... :starhit:

What colour will you paint the steelies when the BRM's arrive?
