Just built my first Narrowed Beam

I've been putting this off for a while, but I though what the hell I'm off work for 6mths so I might as well have a bash.

Thanks to a few medical problems I can only use my hands for short periods before they pack it in, so this project too about 3 weeks on and off to finish. "Bloody arms and hands".

I ended up making a Narrowed 4 1/2 inch beam with Avis adjusters, Teflon bushes and custom "Bugboy" Shock towers, using stock shockies.

Now I'm just waiting on some parts from George at CVD and some Drop Spindles from the states, which I picked up for a steel.

You'll be able to see the newly modified VWFREAK mobile in comming months.

Lets just say I've gone for a Old School ,meets, Drag, meets Rat look. Should be interesting.

Thanks again to Nathan, aka Bugboy for some advice and the sweet shock towers he supplied.

Catcha
Peter / Bones

Hey Lee,

I've got a thing call compartment syndrome in my fore arms, OOS/RSI in both hands, tennis and golfers elbow in both to top everything else off.

Just getting over the compartment syndrome surgery now, they reckon I may be back at work by November working reduced hours for a while.

Makes it hard to work on my toys. lots of ideas and motivation, but the bodies letting the side down

Catcha when I'm in Nowra next.

Mother frack!
thats gotta hurt. Hope the company look after you as well as they have me with my crap last two years.
The beam looks great, but remember to take it slow. MEC 3 sucks big time.
Cheers

Geez mate that sounds like a bit of a hassle.
And as Penguin said, take it easy and recover properly as MEC 3 really does suck.

BTW is this going to be another tri-service conversation?

We ended up passing it on to a friend in the area, rather than see it go to waste.
